Dental surgery.

Our Nanaimo dentists at Northfield Dental Clinic perform a range of oral surgery procedures, including tooth extraction, periodontal gum surgery and wisdom tooth removal.

When wisdom teeth become impacted, abscessed or cannot erupt fully, you may experience pain, discomfort, damage to your other teeth, and even infection. If you’re experiencing discomfort, book an appointment with our Nanaimo dentists, and our team can help you determine if a tooth extraction is required.

We understand oral procedures can seem scary, but rest assured, you’re in good hands at Northfield Dental Clinic. Our experienced dentists are highly trained in oral surgery procedures and can answer any questions you may have about the extraction process, as well as provide you with the after-care guidance you need to heal quickly and comfortably. If you need immediate care, our emergency dentists can provide you with treatment at the earliest appointment possible. Contact our Nanaimo dental clinic today to learn more.

Depending on your specific situation, our Nanaimo dentists can do a check-up exam after your teeth cleaning to diagnose any changes to your teeth and gums. Early detection of tooth decay is extremely important to the longevity of your teeth, and we want to make sure that your oral health is closely monitored and maintained at all times.

All FAQs
Does your clinic offer sedation options?

Yes! We offer two options to make your appointment more comfortable. We can administer oral sedatives one hour prior to your appointment that will make you quite relaxed and calm for your dental treatment. You will be required to have a responsible adult accompany you to and from your appointment if you take oral sedatives. We also administer nitrous oxide known as “laughing gas” for patients who would prefer to leave and go about their day immediately after their appointment with no after-effects.

How soon can I be seen if I have an emergency?

We always make our best efforts to see dental emergencies on the same day. Although this cannot be guaranteed, we will see you to assess your dental emergency as soon as we possibly can. Pain, swelling, bleeding, or redness may indicate a dental emergency.

Which methods of payment are accepted?

We accept cash, cheque, VISA, Mastercard and AMEX.
